If you are interested in starting a local Vanguard Chapter in TPA,
we have listed some guidelines.
SELECT A LOCATION FOR YOUR MEETING
It can be a restaurant, Veteran's Halls (VFW, American Legion) car dealership, activity room where you live, at your local airport. Try to find a room that does not charge a fee.
CHOOSE A DAY AND TIME FOR YOUR MEETING
Week-day or week-end
Many chapters hold their meetings monthly. Others bi-monthly. To see what various cities do, view the National Vanguard web site for schedules. You can decide what your members want to do.
Invite a speaker from the community or organizations that may be of interest to your group AA GM in your city. You can make the decision as to duration of the presentation including a Q & A that is convenient for your members.
Decide if your group is interested in a structured organization. i.e officers.
Prepare bi-laws. You can check with the National Vanguard officers for information.
Decide if your members want to extend a fee for dues and if you prepare a newsletter, a fee for printing and mailing.
Most chapters dues are between $5 and $20.
These funds keep your chapter solvent and can pay for events or door prizes.
VANGUARDS IS A SOCIAL GROUP WHERE WE GATHER TO SHARE LOCAL AND COMPANY INFORMATION TO IT'S MEMBERS.
